Hair Extension - Testimonials

Is there something about yourself that you want to change? Perhaps you would like a different eye color. You go to an optometrist's office and get colored contacts. Would you like to lose weight? You can join a health club and start a diet. All of these questions and answers seem rather familiar and simple. However, this is a question that may seem out of the ordinary. Do you want instant long hair? It is possible. In fact, I have instant long hair. The process is called hair extensions. You may be wondering why would anyone would get hair extensions. Well, this is my story.

I have always had pretty blonde hair I would usually keep it at my shoulders or a little longer. Then in April of 1991, I cut my hair to my chin. It was quite a change. I began to dye my hair white like Marilyn Monroe. Then, I got bored with my hair so I cut it again. This time it was to my ears. It was so short I was so unhappy. I decided to dye my hair back to its natural color and I figured I would let it grow out naturally. However, the dye did not take. Instead, my hair turned gray. It was horrible. I was a twenty-year-old gray-headed lady. Within two days I was at a downtown salon getting my hair fixed. To my disappointment, there was nothing they could do. Then, they said it needed to be cut out. So I could do nothing but agree. For the first time in my life I had shorter hair then the average guy. It looked all right, but I lost so much self-esteem. I looked at myself, and I felt ugly. I’m the type of person that needs a little attention. Well to be honest I need a lot of attention. I felt like guys thought was unattractive. Whenever I would go out with my girIfriends, I was the last to be picked up on. It seemed was always the last resort, I guess I just felt average. However, on February 7,1992, my life changed. I went to go see Final Analysis with some friends. This movie stars Kim Bassinger. Kim is a very famous and beautiful actress. She has been in movies such as 9 1/2 weeks and Batman. Kim has incredible long blonde hair. In Final Analysis, the girl portraying her sister has short hair. Except in one scene, she has long hair. Another star in the movie asks her about her sudden change in hair length. She smiles and tells him she got hair extensions. I can not explain the feeling that went through my body at that moment. She looked totally different. I looked over at Shawn, my boyfriend, and smiled. He knew exactly what I was thinking. The very next morning I called the same salon. However, they did not perform hair extensions. I then called another salon. They did not perform extensions either, but they recommended a person. They recommended Susan Kissel. I went in and talked to Susan. Susan is a hairdresser that performs hair extensions. The first time I saw Susan was for a free consultation. She explained what hair extensions were, and what could be done for me. Within one week I had made an appointment, and received instant long hair.

I have never been more pleased with a decision. I have so much more self-esteem. At least two people a day comment on how beautiful my hair is. If I go to the movies or to the store, at least one guy will come up and try to pick me up. Every time I walk down the hall, guys look at me and smile. I feel so much better about myself. I feel like the ugly duckling that turned into a BEAUTIFUL SWAN!
